Soil type: Mediterranean clayey Terra Rossa
Production area: estate vineyards in Ponte Ronca, Zola Predosa, within the Colli Bolognesi DOC area
Harvest method: by hand in crates containing 15kg (second pick) of overripe and Botrytis-affected grapes
Vinification: whole-berry soft press for Grechetto gentile. Fermentation in concrete vat, lees-stirring for 6 months, racking and maturing in concrete vats. Addition of small quantities of late-harvest Albana 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2020 vintages stored in perpetual concrete vats using the Solera method.

Training system: vertical trellis, 2500 vines/ha, east-west facing, planted 1970 (Albana). Vertical trellis, 4500 vines/ha, north-south facing (Grechetto gentile)
Yield per hectare: 5-7 tons
